Huiyuan Fu is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Computer Science (National Demonstration Software College) of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, an outstanding member of the Chinese Computer Society, and director of the Internet of Things Technology Center. He was selected for the "Beijing Science and Technology New Star Program" (2020) and the "1551" Talent Program of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (2019). In 2014, he obtained a doctoral degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and served as the head of Beijing Postal Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Image Processing, the technical director of Beijing Postal Zhejiang Dahua Intelligent Video System Engineering Joint Laboratory, and a member of the academic committee of Beijing Postal Xiaomi Intelligent Internet of Things Joint Laboratory. He also served as an executive member of the Multimedia Special Committee of the Chinese Computer Society and a member of the Multimedia Special Committee of the Chinese Image and Graphics Society , a project evaluation expert from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a specially invited expert from the Science and Technology Achievement Appraisal Committee of the Chinese Electronics Society, and a review expert from Tencent Rhinoceros Elite Talent Training Program.


His main research interests include deep learning, computer vision, video big data, multimedia systems, and he has led and participated in multiple National Natural Science Foundation, National 973 Program, National Key R&D Program, National 863 Program, and enterprise R&D projects. Among them, he has led key R&D program projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, National Natural Science Foundation projects (three consecutive projects), and National Natural Science Foundation Joint Fund key project projects National/provincial and ministerial level projects such as the National Defense Science and Technology Innovation Special Zone Project and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation Key Project, as well as industry university research cooperation projects such as China Mobile, Huawei, and Zhejiang Dahua. In recent years, a series of innovative achievements have been achieved in the fields of visual computing and multimedia systems, including IEEE CVPR, IEEE ICCV, ACM Multimedia, AAAI, IEEE ICASSP, IEEE ICME, and IEEE Trans More than 60 academic papers have been published by Multimedia, Neural Networks, Journal of Computer Science, and others. Previously served as IEEE CVPR, IEEE ICCV, ACM Multimedia, ACM Computing Surveys, IEEE Trans Reviewer for renowned conferences or journals such as Multimedia, and member of the procedural committee for top international conferences such as AAAI. We have obtained 40 authorized international/national invention patents, of which 8 have been converted.


He has been selected as the "Excellent Undergraduate Education Team of Beijing Universities", and have won the first prize of the China Electronics Society Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, the first prize of the Beijing Teaching Achievement Award, the champion of the ACM MM 2020 General Abnormal Event Recognition Challenge, the champion of the National Defense Science and Technology Innovation Special Zone Artificial Intelligence Challenge, the runner up of the ICLR 2022 World Top Robot Arm Competition SAPIEN ManiSkill Challenge, and the Best Display Award of Frontier Technology at the China Multimedia Conference Runner up for IEEE ICME Best Student Paper Award and IEEE/ACM ICDSC Best Paper Award.
