    Laboratory of Visual Robot & Intelligent Technologies

    Description of Research Group:

    The laboratory is dedicated to the integration of "computer vision" and "robotics" in various scenarios, so it is named "Laboratory of Visual Robot & Intelligent Technologies" (vRobotit.cn), but there is no strict academic definition of the word "visual robotics".

    Laboratory research focus: image signal processing, image color processing, image aesthetic assessment, monocular depth estimation, visual navigation, video motion capture and other common technologies. Application Focus: Technologies related to visual computing on mobile terminals. The laboratory advocates open cooperation and collaborative innovation with more enterprises, and adheres to long-term basic theoretical research and application research oriented to vertical scenarios. Industrialization provides: "digital content production/aesthetic evaluation/intelligent filming/image style and other software, photography/sweeping/inspection/inventory/logistics and other robots, smart park/pension/manufacturing/social media and other systems" technology pre-research. At present, there are 3 teachers and more than 40 master/doctor students in the laboratory. Every year, it plans to recruit about 6~8 master students and 1~2 doctor students.
